Concurrent Running
In order to get to the post-run festivities, concurrent running is utilized beginning with Leg 4. Having too much fun, been lost for hours, running behind, then send your next runner off before your previous runner finishes.
- While a runner is on a leg in the normal sequence, another runner may start on the subsequent leg: this is concurrent running.
- Note the second runner's departure time, the time of day that the next runner departed early.
- Note the late runner arrival, the time of day that the incoming runner arrives. Get in the car and head to the next exchange. Hopefully, vehicle beats the concurrent runner to the exchange or they wait.
- Subtract Early_Departure_Time for Late_arrival_time to obtain Concurrent Runnig Time.
- Turn in card at the Finish Line within 5 minutes of finishing. That’s all folks.
Team must concurrent run if directed by a race official. Concurrent running will get you to the post race party.
