Some changes:

  • We've dropped the muck from the last 19 miles for the 50 milers.
  • Relay 1/Ultra A follows a different route from previous reports. Follow the markings/signs.
  • Relay 11 & 12 have been swapped; arrive on "Vertigo", next "Wretched Lake", then "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?" then "Park Lyndon" and finally leave this cluster on "Don't Get No Better!".

Concurrent Running Card

Concurrent Running

In order to get to the post-run festivities, concurrent running is utilized beginning with Leg 4. Having too much fun, been lost for hours, running behind, then send your next runner off before your previous runner finishes.

  1. While a runner is on a leg in the normal sequence, another runner may start on the subsequent leg: this is concurrent running.
  2. Note the second runner's departure time, the time of day that the next runner departed early.
  3. Note the late runner arrival, the time of day that the incoming runner arrives. Get in the car and head to the next exchange. Hopefully, vehicle beats the concurrent runner to the exchange or they wait.
  4. Subtract Early_Departure_Time for Late_arrival_time to obtain Concurrent Runnig Time.
  5. Turn in card at the Finish Line within 5 minutes of finishing. That’s all folks.


Team must concurrent run if directed by a race official. Concurrent running will get you to the post race party.
This is a sample card, the real Concurrent Running Card will be included in Race Packet.

  • DO NOT RECORD YOUR ELAPSED TIMES ON THIS CARD. DO NOT RECORD YOUR TOTAL RUN TIME ANYWHERE ON THIS CARD.
  • There will be NO CONCURRENT RUNNING UNTIL LEG #4
  • RECORD THE AMOUNT(S) OF TIME WHEN THERE ARE 2 RUNNERS ON THE COURSE.   ARRIVAL_TIME MINUS DEPARTURE_TIME EQUALS CONCURRENT_TIME  
  • Add the individual leg concurrent times and place the result where indicated.
  • TURN CARD IN AT THE FINISH LINE WITHIN 5 MINUTES OF FINISHING so you'll be eligible for awards
  • If your runner is delayed do to helping an injured runner: record the length of the delay at the bottom of the card.
  • If your next runner has to wait for an arriving (hopefully) runner, this is also recorded in the Good Samaritan time.
  • YOU WILL GET 16 HOURS CONCURRENT TIME if we don't like or don't have your card.
